BALLOON COLLECTION
Inspired by the poise of balloon animals and the segments created by inflating, twisting, and turning the smooth rubber forms. This collection is a time limited response that combines playful shapes and smooth contours to enhance the beauty of woods natural and flowing grain.
“The Balloon collection was designed through the eyes of a toddler, imagining how the world is viewed from their perspective and thinking about shapes and forms that would be stimulating to them. It’s about reconnecting us to our child selves and bringing that energy into the home.”
The weighting of solid shapes is explored to its maximum as part of this collection, presenting circular forms as whole leg structures whilst smaller spheres create balance in surface and aesthetic.
Developed in a selection of temperate timbers such as Beech, Ash, and Douglas Fur, the natural finish of these grains provide both rich colour and varying texture to the forms.
